Welcome to MD Viewer. By accessing or using mdview.co (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

MD Viewer is a free, browser-based tool that lets you write, edit, and preview Markdown documents. The Service includes features such as math rendering, diagram support, syntax highlighting, export capabilities, and document sharing via unique links.

2. No Account Required

MD Viewer does not require you to create an account. There is no login, registration, or authentication process. The Service is freely available to anyone with a modern web browser.

3. Your Content

Content you create using the MD Viewer editor is processed locally in your browser by default. You retain full ownership of everything you write.

4. Shared Content

If you use the Share feature, your document's Markdown content is uploaded to our cloud infrastructure. By sharing a document, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The shared document is publicly accessible to anyone with the unique link.
• Shared documents are stored for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Each shared document is limited to 500 KB in size.
• Share requests are rate-limited to prevent abuse (10 requests per minute per IP address).
• We reserve the right to remove any shared content at any time, for any reason, without notice.
• You are solely responsible for the content you share. Do not share confidential, sensitive, or private information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Use automated scripts to access the Service in a manner that burdens its resources
• Attempt to bypass any security measures or rate limits
• Share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringes on the rights of others

6. Intellectual Property

The MD Viewer name, logo, design, and source code are the property of their respective owners. Your use of the Service does not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the tool.

7. Third-Party Services

MD Viewer integrates third-party services for font hosting, content delivery, advertising, and document sharing. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the availability or persistence of shared documents.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MD Viewer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
